The initial consultation takes place before any training begins. We will have a chat about your current health, lifestyle and what you want to achieve from taking part in exercise with a personal trainer. You will also be required to complete a health and lifestyle questionnaire and any relevant health-related physical fitness assessments.
Health and fitness assessments available include:
Resting heart rate and blood pressureBody composition (fat percentage)Waist-Hip ratioCircumference measurementsStatic and dynamic postureAnaerobic capacityMuscular enduranceCardiovascular enduranceFlexibility
All of these assessments allow us to design the perfect programme for you and monitor your progress, whilst also ensuring that everything you do is safe.
The majority of these initial assessments will not be too strenuous. Some may not be relevant to you but can be completed if requested and safe to do so.
